Independent insurance and reinsurance company manager Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS) has acquired UK-based firm Allenby Consulting Ltd.
Established in 2014 by Neil Campbell, Allenby Consulting offers independent advice on corporate risk financing and alternative risk transfer strategies, specialising in the design and implementation of structured reinsurance programmes for captives.
Under the acquisition, Campbell has been appointed senior consultant within SRS’ risk consulting team.
Commenting on the acquisition, Derek Bridgeman, managing director of SRS, says: “Neil brings a wealth of experience, and his particular skill-set around alternative risk transfer and structured reinsurance will ensure SRS continues to provide best-in-class risk financing solutions for the benefit of our clients.”
Campbell adds: “After eight years of working solo, building a business that helps corporates use their captives more imaginatively and effectively, it definitely feels like the right time to be joining up with SRS as it is clear that we share a vision for the future of risk financing.”
Before forming Allenby Consulting, Campbell led the global life science practice at JLT. He is part of the current innovation team developing unique supply chain insurance solutions to respond to regulatory risk in the life science industry.
Campbell also previously served as risk manager at AstraZeneca, where he was a project leader in the formation of Pharmaceuticals Insurance Ltd, Bermuda, a pharmaceutical industry mutual for property and business interruption insurance.
