NAIC names 2014 committee

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners has named its 2014 committee chairs and vice chairs, and assigned members to the organization’s standing committees.

Adam Hamm, NAIC President and North Dakota insurance commissioner, said: "The NAIC's committee system is the backbone of state-based insurance regulation, and we are fortunate to have a multitude of capable members who will lead us to achieve our regulatory priorities in 2014. We commend these leaders for their dedication to the NAIC that goes above and beyond the regulatory responsibilities they have in their home states."

NAIC leadership met this week to make committee assignments based on each member's preferences and experience, as well as requirements established by the NAIC's Bylaws.
