Michael J. Kane joins Vitesse to lead business development for captive market

Global treasury and payment solutions provider Vitesse names Michael J. Kane as its new Business Development Sales Director, effective November 2025. Based in North America, Kane focuses on driving growth, expanding relationships, and positioning Vitesse as a leading provider of global claims funds management and payment solutions across the captive, self-insured, TPA, and broker sectors. In his role, Kane focuses on clearly communicating Vitesse’s differentiators, including its modern tech stack, transparency, real-time payments, and data-driven claims insights. Vitesse is an FCA regulated business that provides global claims funds management, operating a large banking and payment settlement network that gives customers direct access to 200 currencies and countries. The firm has a strong level of awareness in the US, supported by its high-profile relationship with Lloyd’s of London through its Faster Claims Payment (FCP) solution. Kane brings more than two decades of experience spanning broking, risk advisory, and dedicated captive banking to the position. His deep background in the captive and risk management space includes a recent role as Risk Advisor/Business Development at Risk Strategies Company, where he helped quantify risks and advised clients throughout every stage of the captive life cycle, from feasibility and formation to ongoing maintenance. Previously, Kane spent more than eight years as a Relationship Manager, Captive Insurance at HSBC in Bermuda, where he was responsible for managing captive insurance companies and long-term life insurers with international needs. Kane’s career began in Bermuda, including broker roles at Gallagher and Marsh & McLennan Companies, where he focused on placing excess casualty and property facultative insurance coverage for Fortune 500 companies in the Bermuda marketplace.
