TMF Group, a leading provider of global administrative and compliance services known for its Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) captive solutions, expands into two new countries with the acquisition of Nordgain. Nordgain, a provider of finance, accounting, tax compliance and HR and payroll services, is based in Lithuania and also operates in Latvia, with plans to open an office in Estonia soon. The acquisition increases TMF Group’s global presence to 89 jurisdictions, establishing a new physical presence in the Baltic region. Nordgain’s services are highly relevant to licensed financial entities, encompassing full-scope accounting, tax compliance (including VAT and CIT), and HR and payroll administration. The firm explicitly offers specialised services for licensed companies, electronic money institutions, investment funds, and collective investment undertakings, a compliance profile similar to that required by captive insurance companies. Nordgain’s portfolio includes over 300 clients, many of which are blue-chip and Fortune 500 organisations. Jan Willem van Drimmelen, TMF Group’s Head of Europe, comments: “The Baltics have been an important trading partner for many countries in Europe and the Nordics, and we’ve been following the rapid economic development in the Baltics over the past decade. We’re thrilled to expand into this dynamic region for international business. We’re delighted to welcome Agne and her team at Nordgain, and their broad portfolio of services will complement our existing offering.” Joanna Romanczuk, TMF Group’s Head of Northern Europe, adds: “Our acquisition of Nordgain is a key step in strengthening TMF Group’s global footprint, adding three jurisdictions to our portfolio and expanding into the Baltics. By increasing our local presence in key countries, we’re uniquely positioned to continue delivering in-depth local expertise combined with strong international outreach.” Nordgain’s Founder and CEO, Agn? Jasinskait?, says: “Joining TMF Group is an exciting milestone for us. By being part of their global platform, we will be able to offer our clients even broader capabilities and international reach, while continuing to deliver the high-value services they know us for. This step also creates exciting career opportunities for our team, giving them the chance to grow as part of a leading global firm.” Nordgain was established in 2008 and employs more than 90 finance professionals, managing operations for over 400 clients across more than 10 countries.
