Hinal Patel, APIR, joins the South Carolina Department of Insurance (SC DOI) as a Supervising Financial Analyst. Patel steps into the new role, having served as a Senior Financial Analyst at the SC DOI from March 2024 to November 2025. The new position comes after a recent period as an Account Manager at Marsh McLennan from February 2023 to January 2024. Patel has extensive prior experience with the SC DOI, including a position as a Business Plan Analyst in the Captive Insurance Division between April 2022 and February 2023. Before this, Patel was a Senior Financial Analyst in the Traditional Insurance Division from October 2020 to April 2022. Patel's earlier career includes time as an Accountant at NHE, Inc. and a Data Analyst at the SC Department of Health and Human Services. Announcing the move, Patel says, "I am excited to announce that I am embarking on a new professional chapter as a Supervising Financial Analyst at the South Carolina Department of Insurance!".
