The Coca-Cola Company names Josh Savage as Senior Director – Operations Finance Lead for South Africa, effective October 2025. Savage brings an extensive background in global risk finance, investments, and captive insurance management from his 15-year tenure with the global beverage organisation. In his new Johannesburg-based role, Savage is responsible for the end-to-end financial strategy and operations across South Africa. Savage moves into the South Africa position after a three-year assignment as Senior Director – Financial Planning and Competitive Insights for India and Southwest Asia, based in Gurugram, Haryana. There, he led all financial planning, system economics, and performance management for an operating unit spanning six countries. Prior to his international assignments, Savage held key roles in the company's Atlanta headquarters focusing heavily on global risk management and investments. From July 2019 to June 2022, as Senior Director – Debt Capital Markets, Investments, Risk Finance, he was Head of investments, which included oversight of the company's pension plans and captive insurance companies. Between 2017 and 2019, as Financial Risk & Investments Manager, Savage was directly responsible for the financial management of multiple captive insurance companies, covering employee benefits and pension. His duties included risk pricing, asset performance management, liability management, and financial statement impact analysis for these captives. He also managed the global employee benefits captive reinsurance programme, including strategy and vendor management. Earlier in his tenure, from 2012 to 2017, Savage served as Senior Financial Analyst, Risk & Investments, holding operational lead responsibilities for the employee benefits captive reinsurance programme and ensuring the ongoing solvency of two large pension captives on both regulatory and contractual bases. Savage first joined The Coca-Cola Company in 2010 as a Global Benefits Consultant, before which he was an Actuarial Analyst at Towers Perrin/Towers Watson.
