The Insurance Managers Association of Cayman (IMAC) releases the agenda for the Cayman Captive Forum 2025, the largest captive insurance event in the world. The forum takes place at the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman from 2-4 December 2025. Registration remains open, offering attendees access to world-class expertise and exceptional networking opportunities. The three-day agenda includes keynote addresses, technical sessions, and interactive panels designed to help captive owners and service providers navigate change and capture new opportunities. Michael Wild, chair of the Cayman Captive Forum Committee, says the committee is "proud to present another powerful agenda that reflects the evolution of the global captive insurance industry". Wild says the sessions bring together an "extraordinary mix of perspectives - from regulators, industry leaders, and innovators". The opening keynote is provided by Rashmi Airan, a globally recognised speaker and transformation expert. The second keynote, entitled ‘Performing under Pressure’, is presented by deep-sea saturation diver Chris Lemons, whose miraculous survival was chronicled in the acclaimed Netflix/BBC documentary Last Breath. The documentary was also adapted into a major motion picture released in early 2025. Key sessions on the agenda include an ‘Insurance Market Update’ presented by Jim Williamson of Everest. The session ‘Director Responsibilities - A 360 Review’ features Hon Justice Jalil Asif KC (Judge of the Grand Court), Melissa Thomas, and Lesley Thompson. The forum also features ‘Smart Risk: AI Transformations in Captive Insurance’, exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping risk management, operational efficiency, and decision-making across the captive insurance landscape. Charlene Tilbanie, Grant Teegarden, and Julie Robertson present a session on ‘A Powerful Combination: Mergers & Acquisitions in HealthCare’. Attendees receive a regulatory update from CIMA by Kara Ebanks and an update from Cayman Finance by Steve McIntosh. The programme includes ‘Trailblazing Tomorrow: Leaders in Cayman Captive Insurance’, a session on inclusivity, communication, and knowledge transfer to address the industry’s talent pipeline. There is also a live recording session of ‘The Insurance Podcast Show Live’ that explores how Cayman captives are adapting to financial, risk, and regulatory changes. IMAC represents the international insurance industry in the Cayman Islands. The Cayman Islands is one of the largest domiciles in the world for captives and a dominant jurisdiction for healthcare captives, group captives, catastrophe bonds, and international reinsurance.
