HDI Global is launching the client rollout of the latest iteration of its natural catastrophe (NatCat) assessment tool, HDI ARGOS 4.0 (Accumulation Risk Geospatial Online System). The advanced tool is designed to help companies maximise the overall efficiency of their risk management by delivering outstanding capabilities in geospatial risk analysis and resilience planning. The digital service is accessible to HDI Global clients as of today, 6 October 2025. Dr Dirk Höring, HDI Global Board member with responsibility for Property Insurance, Engineering Insurance, Marine Insurance and HDI Risk Consulting, emphasises the strategic importance of the launch. “It is crucial for companies to know their risk and how to protect themselves,” Dr Höring says. “By launching HDI ARGOS 4.0, we further develop our proven suite of natural hazard monitoring solutions to meet today's demands from companies around the world to protect against losses from natural hazards”. The new version is future-focused and enables more informed decisions for businesses. Key features include AI-Driven Location Import, which uses advanced artificial intelligence to rapidly and accurately import tens of thousands of locations simultaneously. The solution provides detailed risk scores related to natural hazards, including floods (with detailed flood levels and heights), earthquakes, and storms. Furthermore, clients can access new 3D hazard maps that detail risk levels for perils like snow, hail, and volcanic ash. Clients are also able to generate custom reports and dashboards for a comprehensive view of risk factors and potential vulnerabilities through Interactive Reporting. Lars Regner, Head of Resilience Services at HDI Risk Consulting, explains that the tool provides "well-founded risk analyses of all relevant natural hazard data". “By combining high-resolution hazard intelligence, interactive mapping, fully customisable reporting and user-friendly interface, HDI ARGOS 4.0 provides fast and, above all, well-founded risk analyses of all relevant natural hazard data,” Mr Regner explains. He adds: “With HDI ARGOS 4.0, we're not just offering a tool we're enabling our clients to transform risk into strategic foresight”.
