ClearPoint Health launches new captive-based benefits framework for SMEs

ClearPoint Health has announced the launch of ClearChoice Health Plans, a new benefits framework designed to provide high-value care and measurable savings for small and midsize employers. The new offering aims to simplify the transition to alternative funding models, such as captives, for businesses that have found traditional self-funding unnecessarily complex. ClearChoice Health Plans are built on four key pillars: ClearAdmin, which aligns plan administration and compliance; ClearCare, which integrates clinical concierge and cost management; ClearOS, a digital platform that brings every piece of the benefits experience together in one place; and ClearPurpose, which provides data to guide smarter plan decisions and rewards proactive choices. “Employers deserve more than just insurance — they deserve a plan that evolves with the market, keeps costs aligned with performance and engagement, and delivers a better experience for their people,” says Jeb Dunkelberger, CEO of ClearPoint Health. “ClearChoice Health Plans delivers on that promise by pairing a performance-based captive with a framework built to outperform legacy models.” Speaking with Captive Insurance Times, Ashley Trahan, SVP, Growth Marketing & Partnerships at ClearPoint Health, shared further insight into the performance-based nature of the plans. "When we say performance-based, we mean accountability backed by data," she says. Trahan notes that performance is measured through the ClearCompass report, which tracks key benchmarks across claims, engagement, and plan efficiency. This data then ties directly into ClearRewards, which provides financial benefits such as dividends, rate caps, and more favourable renewal terms for employers who actively manage care and costs well. Trahan added, “Simply put, better management of care and costs doesn’t get averaged away; it directly translates into better financial outcomes. The structure rewards accountability, not complacency, and ensures that every employer’s effort to manage health and cost is recognised.” What makes ClearChoice fundamentally different is its configurability, a digital-first experience, and a focus on performance.
