Lockton Re has announced James Stephens in the newly created head of crisis management role. Stephens joins from Guy Carpenter, where he served as a managing director for non-marine specialties, and brings with him over 35 years of experience in the London reinsurance market, in addition to prior experience at JLT Re and Towers Watson. Head of specialty, Tom Meyer, says: “We are delighted James has joined Lockton Re, supporting our drive to provide clients with valuable insights and unparalleled service driven by deep expertise, a collaborative global approach and leading-edge digital data, and analytic tools.” Commenting on the move, Keith Harrison, international CEO, says that they “look forward to welcoming James to the business with his unparalleled reputation for driving the best outcomes on behalf of London, international, and global clients,” adding that Stephens is “another exciting and impressive hire for Lockton Re”. Stephens says he is “excited to join the Lockton Re platform,” citing the “high calibre of clients and colleagues” as key in making the move, adding that his “focus on innovation and value is a great fit for the business”.
