Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), a business of Marsh, has announced the acquisition of Robins Insurance, a Nashville-based independent insurance agency. Robins primarily provides business insurance and personal lines to clients in the region, in addition to niche expertise in real estate, construction, hospitality, community associations, and manufacturing. CEO of the company, Van Robins, and all other Robins employees will remain working out of their existing Nashville office. Peter Krause, president and CEO of MMA’s Southeast region, believes the move “allows us to broaden our reach in the Nashville community, a rapidly growing market with flourishing businesses and individuals”. Robins adds that: “Today’s risk landscape continues to evolve, and it requires a unique perspective to truly protect clients from the unexpected.” The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
