Gibson launches Stalwart Captive Management

Caitlin Gibson, ACI, a seasoned expert in the captive insurance sector, has announced the launch of her new firm, Stalwart Captive Management LLC. After nearly eight years in the captive sector, Gibson founded the company to provide a more personalised approach to captive management for a select group of clients. Gibson was motivated to start the firm after hearing from captive owners who felt they needed more personalised attention in their management relationships. Her goal is to deliver a "white-glove experience" by intentionally managing a smaller number of captives, which allows for tailored service, quick response times, and dedicated attention for each client. Gibson also shared that her long-time mentor, Dennis Silvia, encouraged the move and has since joined the firm as a member. Stalwart Captive Management will offer a full suite of services, including insurance administration, programme compliance and monitoring, financial reporting, as well as regulatory and governance support. The firm will also oversee and coordinate services with key providers such as auditors, actuaries, reinsurance partners, and investment managers. Looking ahead, Gibson plans to focus on retaining the firm's initial clients and upholding the company's core values of focused attention and highly personalised support. She aims to grow the staff in the coming years, which will allow for a gradual expansion of the client base while maintaining the firm's "white-glove" service model. Gibson also expressed a personal goal of bringing young professionals into the industry, helping to pave the way for the next generation of captive experts. Gibson's experience working at small, mid-sized, and large firms has shaped her approach to this new venture. She believes her past has taught her that she thrives, and can best serve clients, when she is able to focus on a more select portfolio. This balance ensures clients receive the high level of dedication they deserve and provides Gibson with professional fulfilment and the ability to be present for her family.
