The Bermuda Captive Network (BCN) has announced the appointment of Helen Souza, founder of Exordium, as a consultant to support its membership drive and business development initiatives. The BCN cites her extensive experience in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and business development, in tandem with her deep understanding of Bermuda’s captives sector, as primary reasons for her election. Souza has worked directly with captive owners and industry stakeholders over the course of her career, which has included roles at HSBC and the Bermuda Business Development Agency (BDA), before going on to found her own company. Furthermore, she has promoted Bermuda on the international stage, participating in industry events to promote the island as a leading captive domicile. Souza has also spoken at local industry events and is the chair of the Bermuda Captive Conference agenda committee. Grainne Richmond, president of BCN, praises “Helen’s passion for building strong, engaged communities,” which he believes “aligns perfectly with BCN’s vision”. The chair of the Bermuda Captive Conference, Séadna Kirwan, adds that: “Her fresh perspective and industry connections will be instrumental in advancing our shared goals of delivering education, fostering collaboration, and ensuring our members have the resources they need to succeed.” The BCN board believes her expertise, global experience, and proven ability to engage with captive owners will be invaluable in supporting their long-term growth and network strategies.
