Airmic Guernsey Conference 2025 to spotlight international risk financing

Airmic and Guernsey Finance will jointly host the Airmic Guernsey Conference 2025 on 22–23 September, with this year’s theme — ‘Leading the way in international risk financing’ — set to highlight the evolving role of captives and emerging strategies for global risk transfer. Held at the St Pierre Park Hotel in Guernsey, the two-day event will gather risk managers, board members, captive owners, and industry stakeholders for a programme of keynote addresses, expert panels and technical breakout sessions. Key discussion topics include managing climate-related risks, the application of artificial intelligence in risk functions, and the growing importance of captives in financing both traditional and emerging exposures. Dr Jo Salter MBE, the UK’s first female fast jet pilot and former director of global transformative leadership at PwC, will deliver the keynote speech. Drawing on her experience in both high-performance aviation and business leadership, Dr Salter is expected to offer insights into resilience, innovation and future-facing strategy. Attendees will also have access to a variety of networking and wellbeing activities. Monday’s schedule includes an opening drinks reception at The Old Government House Hotel & Spa, while Tuesday begins with a ‘Wellness hour’ featuring options such as coastal running, sea swimming, or yoga at La Vallette Bathing Pools. A private Airmic Special Interest Group Breakfast will also examine the role of captives in financing emerging risks. Sponsors for this year’s event include Barclays Bank, W1M Investment Management, Artex Risk Solutions (Guernsey) Limited, Titan Wealth, Ogier and Lloyds International. Registration is now open.
