The Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA) has opened its call for presentation proposals for the 2026 International Conference, to be held from 8–10 March at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Desert, California. Themed ‘Navigating Risk in a Changing World’, the event aims to explore emerging threats, evolving risk strategies, and innovation in captive insurance. CICA is inviting session proposals from both members and non-members, with a submission deadline of 18:00 Eastern on Friday, 22 August 2025. As a domicile-neutral event, the CICA conference provides a platform for sharing best practices across a wide range of topics — including employee benefits, medical stop loss, claims, fronting and reinsurance, professional development, and other current trends in captive insurance. All proposals must feature a captive owner or risk manager as a speaker, employed directly by a parent or affiliated company. CICA also encourages diversity among presenters and welcomes sessions that support its Amplify Women and NEXTGen initiatives. To maintain the conference’s educational value, sessions must avoid promotional content and are subject to limits on company representation: no more than five proposals per firm, a maximum of three speakers from any one company, and only one speaker or moderator per company per session. Proposals must be submitted through the official online form. Late entries may not be considered.
