Davies has appointed Mike Heard as president of operations for its North American business, as the firm accelerates its focus on operational efficiency and technology-led transformation. Heard, who joined Davies in May 2024 and previously served as chief operating officer for the group’s Life & Health division, brings 28 years of insurance sector experience to the role. He will report directly to Dhara Patel, CEO of Davies North America. In his new position, Heard will oversee day-to-day back office operations across the region, lead efforts to streamline and scale service delivery, and support the integration of newly acquired businesses. He also joins the North American executive team and will play a key role in shaping the firm's generative AI strategy. The appointment follows Davies’ recent £275 million funding round, which will support investments in GenAI, automation and strategic expansion into new geographies, including North America, APAC and EMEA. The funding aligns with the firm’s Vision 2030 commitment to enhance client value through technology and operational innovation.
