MAXIS GBN partners with Care Plus for captive healthcare in Brazil

MAXIS Global Benefits Network (GBN) announces a new partnership with Care Plus, one of the largest healthcare providers in Brazil, to offer medical coverage to its captive clients in the country. Founded in 1992 and acquired by Bupa in 2016, Care Plus serves more than 1,000 companies and covers 600,000 members across Brazil. The provider offers over 15 health programmes tailored to individual needs, supporting areas such as mental health, cardiovascular conditions and maternity care. The new arrangement focuses solely on medical benefits, with MetLife Brazil continuing as the MAXIS network’s preferred life insurance provider in the region. MAXIS GBN supports over 300 multinational clients with employee benefits risk management solutions and operates through a network of local insurers in more than 100 markets, covering nearly seven million employees. Iliyana Mladenova, chief operating officer at MAXIS GBN, says: “Brazil is an important strategic market for multinationals, so we are delighted to welcome Care Plus to the MAXIS network and offer our clients a medical solution in the market. “We are excited to see how Care Plus can use its innovative approach to healthcare to provide a great service to support our captive clients and their people.” Caio Abdalla, chief commercial officer at Care Plus, adds: “We understand the challenges that multinationals looking to care for their people across Brazil face. “As experts in the local healthcare landscape, we are excited to be joining the MAXIS network so we can use our knowledge and experience to deliver vital healthcare solutions to its multinational clients.”
