SiriusPoint has appointed Andrew Pryde as its next group chief risk officer, effective from September 2025. Based in Bermuda, Pryde will report directly to CEO Scott Egan and will lead the company's global risk management strategy. He will succeed Andreas Kull, who will remain at SiriusPoint until September to ensure a smooth handover. The global specialty (re)insurer says the new hire would further strengthen its leadership team in Bermuda. Pryde joins from Catalina Re, where he held the same title, overseeing group-wide risk, compliance, capital modelling and investment risk. He brings more than 25 years of experience in the Bermuda and London insurance and reinsurance markets, including senior risk roles at Beazley and DARAG. He has also served as chair of BHI Digital and Lodestone Security, and began his career as an actuarial consultant at PwC. Commenting on the appointment, Egan says: “Andrew is a highly accomplished and experienced board level insurance executive with proven experience of implementing strong and valued risk management frameworks. “He is a great hire who will add strength and depth as we continue to pursue our ambitions as a business.” Pryde adds: “I look forward to working alongside the talented team to enhance the company’s risk strategies and help drive continued growth and success in an increasingly complex global market.”
