Leane Rafalko, director of captive management at CIC Services, has been elected to the board of directors of the Utah Captive Insurance Association (UCIA) for a three-year term. Rafalko brings over 20 years of experience in both regulatory and private-sector roles, having joined CIC Services in 2023. Her previous positions include audit manager at RH CPAs, senior captive consultant at Hylant Global Captive Solutions, and chief captive analyst at the North Carolina Department of Insurance, where she led examinations of insurance companies domiciled in the state. In addition to her new role with UCIA, Rafalko currently serves on the board of directors of the North Carolina Captive Insurance Association and was elected last year to the Board of Governors for the Society of Financial Examiners (SOFE). She has been a SOFE member since 2007 and previously served two terms on its board starting in 2011. “Leane’s leadership and deep industry expertise make her a valuable contributor to every organisation she serves,” says Bryan Ridgway, chief operating officer and managing partner at CIC Services. “Her election to the UCIA Board is a testament to her continued impact on the captive insurance industry, both as a practitioner and as a thought leader.”
