Castle Harbour launches as transactional risk brokerage

Castle Harbour Insurance has officially launched as a specialist brokerage focused on transactional risk insurance. Headquartered in New York, the firm offers tailored solutions in tax insurance, representations and warranties insurance, litigation insurance, and contingent risk insurance. Its founding team comprises managing partners Austin Cahill, David Cohen, Penny Mavridis Sales and Jeffrey Lash, who together bring extensive experience in advising on complex transactions. They are joined by key executives Ryan Davis and David Tawil. Castle Harbour aims to support private equity firms, Fortune 500 companies and multinational corporations by helping them transfer complex deal risks to the insurance market. The firm cites growing demand for certainty and sophisticated risk mitigation tools, driven by today’s volatile global environment, as a key reason for its launch. The company intends to expand its offering with “additional cutting-edge solutions” designed to support clients in a dynamic market. Austin Cahill, managing partner, says: “We founded Castle Harbour to provide clarity, confidence, and competitive advantage in an increasingly complex transactional landscape. “Our mission is to transform transactional uncertainty into strategic opportunities for our clients, enabling them to navigate global risks with unparalleled assurance.” David Cohen, also a managing partner, adds: “Our clients are our long-term partners, and we are committed to providing advisory services that seamlessly and consistently integrate with their broader business objectives.”
