MAXIS director retires after 27 years in global benefits

David Schupak, director of global relationship management at MAXIS Global Benefits Network, is set to retire at the end of June after a 27-year career. Schupak began his career in 1998 at Alico, the life insurance arm of AIG, which was later acquired by MetLife and ultimately became part of MAXIS. He went on to hold roles across Latin America and Europe before settling in London in 2007. His global assignments took him to more than 40 countries, where he built strong relationships and developed a deep understanding of local markets. Schupak takes pride in seeing his colleagues succeed across the MAXIS network and in playing a role in establishing MAXIS as a leading global employee benefits provider since its 2016 joint venture relaunch. Looking ahead, he hopes to leverage his people-centric skills by conducting walking tours of London and volunteering with refugees. He says: “I want to do something that allows me to have contact with people, because my 27 years at MAXIS has been all about meeting people and talking to them. “If I can do something that I would enjoy, like being a tour guide, that would help me use my skills. For me, it is all about the people I meet.”
