Aon has launched a new proprietary platform, Aon Broker Copilot, to modernise commercial insurance placement using AI, large language models and predictive analytics. The tool, which is patent-pending and developed in-house, was co-designed with Aon’s frontline brokers to streamline complex workflows, improve placement strategies and deliver more informed outcomes for clients. Aon Broker Copilot captures and standardises data across all submissions — quoted, bound, or declined — providing a real-time view of market pricing, carrier appetite and sentiment. The company says this approach allows it to move beyond anecdotal market intelligence, offering brokers sharper insight based on actual behaviour across the global insurance market. Aon also states that the platform integrates with its Risk Analyzer suite and draws on one of the industry’s largest structured data sets to enhance decision-making at the point of placement. Initially launching with Aon’s US National Property and London Global Broking Centre Property teams, the tool will expand to additional lines of business and geographies through 2025 and 2026. The development supports Aon’s broader 3x3 Plan to raise service standards and scale innovation, including a US$1 billion commitment in 2024 to enhance decision-making across risk and human capital challenges. Clyde Bernstein, head of placement technology and trading analytics at Aon, says the platform allows brokers to “lead with insight powered by client priorities and real-time data”, and offers “a smarter, faster way to make better decisions”. Joe Peiser, CEO of Aon Commercial Risk, adds: “The future of broking will belong to firms that can combine expertise with intelligence at scale. Aon Broker Copilot is the next step in predictive broking. “We are redefining how capital matches risk, harnessing digital innovation to deliver faster, smarter solutions.”
