Hamilton Insurance Group has announced a series of senior leadership appointments across its global operations, including key changes in its Bermuda and London offices. Adrian Daws has been appointed CEO of Hamilton Re in Bermuda, with his current role as CEO of Hamilton Global Specialty in London to be filled by Alex Baker. In addition, Tim Duffin has been named to the newly created role of group chief underwriting officer. All three executives will report to group CEO Pina Albo and join Hamilton’s executive management team. The announcement follows the decision by Megan Graves, current CEO of Hamilton Re, to retire at the end of 2025 after five years in the role. Daws brings more than 25 years of experience in (re)insurance, having joined Hamilton in 2015 and serving in several senior underwriting roles, including as active underwriter of the firm’s Lloyd’s syndicate. Baker joined the company in 2016 and was appointed group chief risk officer in 2022, following earlier roles as chief actuary and chief revenue officer at Hamilton Global Specialty. Duffin, who joined Hamilton in 2012, currently serves as chief underwriting officer of Hamilton Re and has extensive underwriting experience across the Bermuda and London markets. Board chair David A. Brown says the company is fortunate to have “strong and talented individuals” ready to step into key roles, adding: “We are extremely pleased to congratulate Adrian, Alex and Tim on their well-deserved appointments.” Albo further adds: “These leaders are seasoned professionals, who have demonstrated exceptional commitment, vision and performance and will be instrumental in continuing to execute our strategy of building a global specialty insurance and reinsurance company. “I am thrilled with the appointments of Adrian, Alex and Tim and look forward to working with them as we continue building our profitable track record.”
