The H&M Group has formed its reinsurance captive Hennes Insurance after being successfully registered with the Swedish Companies Registration Office. In September 2023, H&M submitted an application for a concession for a Swedish reinsurance captive, Hennes Insurance Försäkringsaktiebolag. The share capital of the new entity amounts to US$5.8 million. The company must conduct reinsurance operations within insurance classes that include accidents, disease, freight transport, fire and natural forces, other property damage, general liability, and others. Alexander Hansén, group insurance manager at the H&M Group, will be Hennes Insurance’s CEO, while the company's board also includes chairman Joseph Ahlberg, head of investor relations at H&M, and members Anna Borin, insurance specialist at H&M, and Carl Gemzell, H&M's Group treasurer.
