AXA XL names Ziegler as Chief Operating Officer for insurance business in Americas

AXA XL has appointed Kathleen Ziegler as chief operating officer for its Americas' insurance business. Ziegler will take over for Jerome Itty, who is leaving his position with AXA XL in July to accept an assignment with AXA Group in Europe, and report to Lucy Pilko, CEO of AXA XL Americas. In her new role, Ziegler will oversee and manage AXA XL Americas' insurance operations, including leading underwriting, reporting, premium operations, and underwriting governance teams. She will also be responsible for leading transformation and technology initiatives across the region. Ziegler brings more than 25 years of insurance industry experience, having held senior leadership positions at AIG, Zurich, CopperPoint, and Blackboard Insurance.
