The Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) has announced futurist Jim Carroll as one of the keynote speakers for its 39th annual conference, scheduled for 12-14 August at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Burlington, Vermont. Carroll has lent his expertise on trends and innovation to global organisations, institutions and companies, such as World Bank, Volvo, NASA, PGA of America, Walt Disney, the Wall Street Journal, National Australia Bank, Microsoft, and Johnson & Johnson. According to the VCIA, he will give his keynote speech on 14 August about ‘The Future of Insurance’, which will unpack the relentless fast change in the industry. Carroll will outline plans to ‘think big, act small, and scale fast’ as it relates to the captive insurance sector. The conference is America’s biggest captive event, where attendees can expect to participate in networking, education sessions and business opportunities. The event expects to host more than 1,000 captive professionals from the US and around the world.
