Acrisure expands presence in UK market with two acquisitions

Michigan-based fintech firm Acrisure has acquired Financial and Credit Insurance Services (FinCred) and Global Broking Solutions (GBS). FinCred is a specialist credit insurance broker and surety bond expert based in Kent. GBS, based in East Sussex, is an accredited Lloyds broker specialising in commercial insurance. The move aims to expand the company’s presence in the southern England region, following the firm’s strategy to form three established office locations in London, East Sussex and Kent. Mark McIlquham, president of Acrisure UK Retail, says: “We are excited to continue our expansion in southern England with these two acquisitions, led by the Sutton Winson team.” Gareth Roberts, managing director at Sutton Winson, comments: “Acrisure will continue to support us in acquiring businesses with whom we can culturally align. “We now control close to £70 million and expect that figure to surpass £100 million within the next two years.” Acrisure combines humans and high technology to deliver a broad array of products, including insurance, reinsurance, cyber services and mortgage origination. The company's revenue has grown from US$38 million to US$4.4 billion in the last nine years, and it employs more than 17,000 people in over 20 countries.
