Claire McDonald has joined SCOR as CEO of the company’s corporate risks insurance unit, SCOR Business Solutions (SBS), effective from 1 September. Based in London, McDonald will report to Jean-Paul Conoscente, CEO at SCOR P&C, and serve as a member of the executive committee. With more than 20 years of underwriting and senior leadership experience, she previously served as executive board member and chief underwriting officer for the property, engineering and marine lines at HDI Global SE. According to the company, McDonald will be responsible for affirming SBS’s position as a technical specialty commercial insurer, focusing on building a balanced and resilient portfolio, in line with the targets set out in SCOR’s three-year strategic plan, Forward 2026. Conoscente comments: “[McDonald’s] deep expertise, acquired in all areas of specialty insurance throughout her career, will bring us even closer to our clients.
