Christopher Rizek has joined the leadership team at Holland & Knight as tax controversy partner. Prior to his new role, Rizek served as a member at Caplin & Drysdale, specialising in representing taxpayers across all types of federal civil and criminal tax controversies. His expertise includes guiding clients through Internal Revenue Service (IRS) audits, preparing administrative claims and protests, and litigating tax-related cases in various US courts. Rizek also has experience in government service, working as trial attorney with the US Department of Justice's Tax Division and as attorney-advisor with the US Treasury Department. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree and a Juris Doctor (J.D) degree from Georgetown University Law Centre.
