Marsh appoints Lorraine Stack as risk management leader for Europe

Marsh has appointed Lorraine Stack as risk management leader for Europe. Stack has overall responsibility for the company’s portfolio of its largest European clients and supporting them in managing their risk and insurance programmes. Based in Dublin, Stack reports to Christos Adamantiadis, CEO, and Carolina Klint, chief commercial officer for Marsh McLennan Europe. Rob Geraghty succeeds Stack as international consulting and sales leader for Marsh Captive Solutions. Nick Gale has also been promoted to Dublin and Isle of Man captives operations leader. Geraghty is based in London while Gale is based in the Isle of Man; both will report to Will Thomas-Ferrand, international captive practice leader at Marsh. Stack joined Marsh in 1996 and has held numerous senior international positions within Marsh Captive Solutions. She brings over 30 years’ experience in broking and underwriting to the role. Stack retains her position as chair of Marsh Captive Solutions’ Dublin captive management office alongside her new role. Geraghty joined Marsh in 2011 and has extensive international captive consulting, management and sales experience. Most recently, he led international sales for Marsh Captive Solutions for five years. Gale joined has held a more than two-decade tenure at Marsh, having held a variety of senior level roles including advisory practice leader for Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific. Commenting on Stack’s appointment, Adamantiadis says: “She is a wonderful addition to the European leadership team and will play a key role in delivering the best of Marsh to our clients across Marsh McLennan.” Thomas-Ferrand adds: “The growing popularity of captive insurance solutions globally is continuing amid challenging insurance market conditions, which is contributing to innovation in captive structures, servicing, regulation, and greater adoption in numerous countries. “Rob and Nick’s knowledge of the international captive insurance sector will be invaluable as Marsh Captive Solutions continues to develop new solutions that support our clients in managing their rapidly evolving risks.”
