Specialty broker Mosaic Insurance (Mosaic) has appointed David Drogin as head of cyber in the US. Drogin will lead the growth of Mosaic’s US cyber business, as part of the division’s global buildout to meet demand across the sector. It launched its primary cyber product in May, offering $25 million in capacity. He will be based in New York and will report to the broker’s global head of cyber Yosha DeLong. Drogin has more than 18 years of experience across claims, product development and underwriting spheres. Previously, he worked as the US Northeast regional manager at Axis Capital, overseeing a portfolio of cyber, technology E&O, professional liability and media. Before that, Drogin held a number of roles at ACE USA and served as an insurance coverage lawyer at Wilson Elser. Drogin comments: “At a time when even the most thoroughly prepared companies are unable to eradicate the risk of cyberattacks, the importance of cyber insurance should not be understated. I am delighted to join Mosaic’s team.”
