CAC Specialty adds Melissa Menard to new healthcare division

Specialty insurer broker CAC Specialty has appointed Melissa Menard as executive vice president of its new healthcare division. Menard will lead the division alongside executive chairman J. Kevin Carnell, who was appointed upon the division's launch just over a week ago. In her new role, Menard’s responsibilities will include driving business development, formulating and implementing sales strategies, and pooling CAC Specialty’s resources together to construct a healthcare-specific risk advisory division. Menard has experience in deploying healthcare strategies and managing functional areas of insurance, as well as an extensive underwriting background. Prior to joining CAC Specialty, Menard served as managing director of Brown & Brown’s national healthcare practice, where she held a variety of leadership roles including chief of staff for sales and account services at BlueCross BlueShield of Massachusetts. While working at Brown & Brown’s, she organised its Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Council in 2020. Commenting on Menard’s appointment, Bruce Denson , president of CAC Specialty and Cobbs Allen says: “Melissa’s expertise and experience will be a tremendous asset to us, and we are confident that she will help us continue to drive innovation and growth in our new healthcare division.”
