Mosaic Insurance has appointed Reeva Bakhshi (pictured) as chief financial officer as part of the strategic development of its specialty insurer’s corporate division. Bakshi has more than 25 years of experience in financial services, including international re/insurance markets. Prior to her appointment, Bakshi served in a number of chief financial officer roles, most recently as deputy for Alleghany Corporation, a Delaware-based insurance company. Mosaic has also appointed Aizaz (Oz) Haque as capital solutions officer. Haque will oversee alternative capital strategies to optimise capital provision for the company. Haque has 20 years of investment banking experience. Prior to Mosaic, Haque spent seven years as the managing director at Foros Group. Both Bakhshi and Haque will be based in New York. Commenting on Bakhshi’s appointment, Mitch Blaser, co-CEO of Mosaic, says: “Reeva Bakhshi brings a distinguished track record in the insurance industry to oversee all our financial activities." He adds: “Oz’s new role sees him address ways we can build alternative capital strategies to support our development and leverage the platform we’ve built. Having Reeva and Oz focused on these respective areas will help Mosaic deliver on plans and create innovative capital solutions for our business.”
