Financial services provider Aon has announced an expansion of its apprenticeship programme and apprenticeship networks. It will invest US $30 million in the project. The company intends to bolster its programme to create 10,000 corporate apprenticeships by 2030. These are offered in partnership with a range of employer partnerships, which Aon intends to broaden. Aon’s Chicago Apprentice Network, launched in collaboration with Accenture and Zurich, currently facilitates more than 2000 apprenticeships spanning 140 companies and 18 industries. Shantenae Robinson, public affairs manager for Aon’s apprenticeships programme, says: “Traditionally there’s this requirement of a four-year degree before getting into an organisation. But as we all know, that doesn’t always equate to knowing how to do the job. An apprenticeship is an opportunity to earn and learn.” The news comes one month after Aon announced a partnership with Apex and specialty insurer Mosaic Insurance (Mosaic) which offers directors and officers coverage to funds. The product incorporates Apex ESG Invest Check’s ESG assessments, Mosaic’s insurtech platform and Aon’s industry knowledge to provide insurance risk assessments with real-time price indications.
