Professional services and technology business Davies has acquired third-party administration (TPA) and independent adjusting firm Johns Eastern Company (Johns Eastern). Based in Florida, Johns Eastern manages claims processes through to settlement. Covering workers compensation, auto, trucking, and general liability amongst other areas, the company serves large insurers, self-insured corporates, public entities, and the Lloyds of London market. Don Lederer, John Easterns president and CEO, will continue leading the business. Reporting to Matt Button, CEO of Davies US, he will additionally be CEO of Davies’ US TPA operations. The acquisition is the most recent addition to Davies’ US established claims operations. The company now covers property and casualty, life and health, and transportation insurance markets. Davies also offers TPA and loss adjusting solutions across all 50 US states. Lederer comments: “Over recent years, Davies has accelerated into the US market, and by combining our businesses we have a stronger service proposition for insurance clients who are seeking to engage with a trusted partner that heavily invests in technology and delivers outstanding service experiences. I look forward to seeing the enlarged business bring additional development opportunities for our people and clients, and to working with the Davies team to develop and strengthen our claims business in the US.” Dan Saulter, CEO of Davies Group, says: “The business has an excellent reputation in the market for its long-lasting relationships with clients and for its employees’ experience and tenure, dedication, and exceptional service delivery.”
