IQ-EQ has appointed Shaun Geils as global head of insurance. Based in Mauritius, Geils will lead the insurance team while expanding the range of insurance solutions that the company offers. Geils will help spearhead the expansion of the debt, capital markets and corporates segment and aim to attract further opportunities for both current and future clients. Prior to his current role, Geils was managing director of shared services in Mauritius for IQ-EQ. Geils has extensive experience in the captive insurance sector. Before IQ-EQ he served as captives account manager at HSBC and captive and ILS insurance management manager at Kane, before moving to IQ-EQ in 2015. Speaking on his appointment, Geils says: “This is an exciting time for IQ-EQ, and I cannot wait to get started on extending our service offering for our existing clients and our new ones.
