The United Educators Insurance (UE), a reciprocal risk retention group serving K-12 schools, colleges and universities, has received an A (excellent) financial strength rating from AM Best for the 24th consecutive year. Additionally, UE has been awarded an A+ (excellent) issuer credit rating since 2010. AM Best stated that UE’s business profile is favourable due to a “leading market position and diversification of risk by region and type of institution”. Commenting on the rating, Sean Barnes, UE’s vice president finance and administration, chief financial officer, and chief investment officer, says: “In this era of uncertainty, UE is continuing its history as a financially stable partner for institutions seeking our education-specific expertise. “We remain committed to helping the education community focus on its important mission by operating efficiently and implementing appropriate risk management practices.”
