The Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA) has announced that Nick Ashburn will deliver a diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) keynote speech at its International Conference next month. The keynote address, “Beyond intentions: taking action on diversity, equity and inclusion”, will provide actionable steps to define, discuss and implement supportive DE&I practices. As senior vice president and head of responsible investing at PNC Institutional Asset Management, Ashburn is responsible for leading the investment, operational and product strategy for responsible investing, as well as developing the company’s research and analytical capabilities on ESG topics. CICA president Dan Towle comments: “We are looking forward to having Nick as our DE&I keynote speaker. Innovation has always been a driving force in the captive industry, and we believe innovation is essential to future industry growth. “One of the best ways to foster innovation, for our association and for the industry, is by creating a culture of DE&I where everyone feels they belong and their contributions are valued. This is essential to attracting the best and brightest young professionals who will help deliver the captive solutions organisations will be looking for in the future.” Earlier this month, CICA announced former World Champion triathlete and coach Siri Lindley as another keynote speaker for its International Conference, which will take place on 6-8 March at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Hotel and Spa in Tucson, Arizona.
