Robus Group has made several changes to its leadership team as the insurance management firm enters the next phase of its growth strategy following acquisition by the Ardonagh Group in late 2020. Since the acquisition, Robus has continued to operate independently but with access to a wider network of insurance distribution expertise, including captive management services that span a feasibility study, set-up, licensing and ongoing management. The group also offers support and guidance to protected cell companies, incorporated cell companies, insurance-linked securities, managing general agents, and wider insurers and reinsurers. Following the departure of CEO Richard Le Tocq, Steve Quinn has assumed the role of group executive chairman, having joined the group in 2020 as chairman with significant industry experience. Quinn comments: “Looking forward, I have been working with Richard and our Ardonagh colleagues to build a plan which harnesses our collective strengths to launch and execute a successful growth strategy which builds upon the recent successes of Robus Group. The first step has been implementing a more robust group leadership team to oversee our operations.” Elsewhere, former director of Gibraltar Paul Cole has been appointed as chief operations officer, where he will be responsible for simplifying Robus’ operational foundations and maximising service offerings to administer an enhanced client experience. Having previously served as managing director, Malta, Ronan Ryan has been appointed as chief commercial officer, where he will leverage Robus’ product expertise to develop the group’s insurance management offering across all domiciles. Finally, John Harris has assumed the role of group business development director, having acted in a consultant capacity for Robus over the last few years.
