Acrisure insurance agency merges with employee benefits brokerage

Odell Studner Group, a provider of risk management and insurance services with a specialised focus on captive insurance, is set to merge with the Pennsylvania division of Doyle Alliance Group, an employee benefits brokerage and consulting firm. Odell Studner’s insurance profit centre performs a company analysis, including valued claims history, expected future premium and a historical comparison, to determine how a group captive can be beneficial for a company compared to its traditional programme. Doyle Alliance provides advisory solutions for employee benefits, such as strategic planning, financial analysis, cost containment, benefits compliance and pharmacy management. The group also offers group medical captives to mid-sized employers seeking self-funding solutions, healthcare savings and idea-sharing among fellow employers. Both companies are part of fintech firm Acrisure, which administers intelligence-driven solutions across insurance (including captives and employee benefits), reinsurance, cyber services and asset management. Geoffrey Goldwater, president and chief strategy officer at Odell Studner, comments: “Doyle Alliance Group shares our local knowledge and commitment to clients’ long-term success. By joining together formally, we have greatly expanded the services and trusted guidance we can offer customers. I am very excited for the road ahead!” Under the merger, Rob Cola, principal and partner of Doyle Alliance Group, will become president of the new employee benefits practice at the combined companies. Cola adds: “As employee benefits consultants, we are seeing firsthand the massive changes impacting health benefits and other business-critical services, particularly due to rising healthcare costs as a result of new therapies, technologies and treatments. “It is imperative that we continue to deliver the consulting advice and solutions to our clients during these critical times. To that end, we are pleased to join the Odell Studner team under the expert leadership of Steve Odell and Geoff Goldwater.”
