Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) has appointed Erich Catzere as vice president of employee health and benefits. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Marsh, MMA provides risk management and insurance products and solutions to US-based middle market companies. This includes a captive solutions segment, where MMA partners with a large group captive manager to provide coverage for challenging casualty, healthcare and enterprise risks, as well as creating a tailored claims management strategy that incorporates casualty loss development, reinsurance and tail. MMA’s employee health and benefits offering encompasses business management (such as alternative funding strategies and actuarial services), health and welfare insurance programmes, health management and employee wellbeing strategies (employee assistance programmes, compliance and human resources support) and regulatory and health reform updates and guidance. Catzere previously held the position of medical stop-loss captive programme manager at Hylant since August 2017, before which he was a business development executive at Custom Benefits Store, an iSelect Solution. Commenting on the appointment via LinkedIn, Catzere says: “Joining this innovative and dynamic organisation is a terrific move for me professionally and personally. I have always considered MMA to be a pioneer in the consulting world as well as a leader in benefits, service, and thought leadership. “Working alongside the top talent not only in Michigan but globally as well is beyond exciting. I cannot wait to connect you to our team of experts. Here’s to an exciting start to 2022!”
