Risk Strategies has appointed Steve Bryant as managing director, higher education risk management leader. In his new role at the insurance brokerage and risk management firm, Bryant will be responsible for developing the higher education team and risk management services, as well as working with regional and practice leaders to administer industry-leading risk management, risk financing and insurance products to higher education clients. Risk Strategies offer risk management consulting, and insurance and reinsurance placement for property and casualty, employee benefits and private client risks. The firm’s captive practice, led by Oxford Risk Management Group, Atlas Insurance Management and Risk Management Advisors, offers stop-loss solutions for self-funded workers’ compensation plans, employee benefits solutions, and captive management services, such as policy drafting and pricing, risk management reviews and financial reporting services. Bryant previously served as managing director for the office of risk management at the Texas Tech University System, where he coordinated and provided the university’s insurance and risk management programme, specialising in student organisation risk management, business continuity planning and enterprise risk management.
