Aon has launched its second virtual reinsurance renewal season to provide insight to insurers approaching the reinsurance renewals on 1 January 2022. The season is designed to provide advice on the current volatile conditions of the insurance industry as a result of long-tail evolving risks, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change. The platform will enable insurers to receive insight on market dynamics, product innovation labs and guidance from C-suite professionals to manage systemic risk more effectively and administer increasingly relevant solutions to their clients. The ‘fireside chats’ from political and industry leaders are devised to provide different perspectives on approaching new dimensions of risk. They will be hosted by Aon CEO Greg Case, CEO of Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions Andy Marcell, president Eric Andersen, and global chairman of Reinsurance Solutions Dominic Christian. Keynote speakers include former Prime Minister of Australia Julia Gillard, president and CEO of AIG Peter Zaffino and CEO of Lloyd’s London John Neal. The renewal season will also feature panels on managing climate risk, addressing systemic risk via the insurance value chain, and new leaders. Marcell comments: “As insurers seek to deliver increasingly relevant solutions and bring capital closer to clients’ risks while managing new forms of volatility, we aim to inspire better decisions that will drive both insurer growth and relevance in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
