Aon Reinsurance Solutions has announced new regional leadership roles to enhance regional capabilities, reach, trends, and client needs. This follows the recent reconfiguration of Aon’s senior reinsurance team, whereby Tim Ronda was appointed as global geographic leader. Under Ronda, George Attard and Jeremy Goodman have been named CEO of Asia Pacific (APAC) and APAC president, respectively. Elsewhere, Alfonso Valera and Tomas Novotny will serve as co-CEOs of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), while Alan Gregory has been appointed as EMEA chairman. For UK reinsurance, Rupert Moore and Nick Frankland will serve as CEO and president, respectively. Following the retirement of David Sloan at the end of 2021, his role as CEO and chairman of Canada and the Caribbean will be divided between Matt Wolfe and Steve Bonifacio, respectively. The Americas will not see a leadership handover, with George deMenocal retaining the position of CEO of US Reinsurance Solutions, while Pablo Munoz and Paula Ferreira remain as Latin American CEO and president, respectively. Commenting on the new regional appointments, Ronda explains: “Our reinsurance capabilities have been built on the strong foundations of local knowledge and market connections, underpinned by a global focus to ensure we are sharing best practices and helping to drive growth for insurers in each region we serve.” “This new team of regional leaders will benefit from the prior leadership, and the firm’s very deep existing and diverse talent base, as we continue to bring together proven talent from across the firm to support our clients’ needs.”
