Aon reconfigures senior reinsurance leadership

Aon Reinsurance Solutions has adjusted its senior global leadership roles to facilitate further focus on client value, product and market segmentation, and regional reach. The revision is also devised in order to deliver enhanced solutions for clients and create more opportunities for existing and new talent in the risk, retirement and health solutions firm. Joe Monaghan will serve as global growth leader with full responsibility for consolidated growth strategy, including innovation and the integration of practice groups, client segments, global specialties and strategic growth leaders. He will continue as CEO of Aon’s public sector partnership, the position he has held since April 2019. Tim Ronda will assume the role of global geographic leader, where he will be responsible for Aon Reinsurance Solutions’ worldwide regional capabilities to identify regional trends and client needs. He previously served as president of Aon Reinsurance Solutions’ US business. Nick Frankland will become chairman of the insurance consulting group with responsibility for expanding innovation, technology, consulting and advisory services to deliver the Aon United suite to clients. Richard Posgate will serve as head of strategy, where he will oversee acquisitions activity and monitor business performance to maximise efficiency and growth. All four of these senior leaders will report to Andy Marcell, global CEO of Aon Reinsurance Solutions. In addition, Leonora Siccardi will transition from global head of operations and client services at Aon Reinsurance Solutions to COO, while still holding the role of COO for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Aon. Deputy general counsel Sarah Walker will oversee global legal and compliance support for Aon Reinsurance Solutions. Marcell comments: “These new roles demonstrate the investment in our talent to nurture the next generation and evolve our team. They are designed to support our aims to further scale our capabilities across Aon Reinsurance Solutions and deliver greater choice and innovation to our clients.” “We have already built strong foundations to achieve future success, and relationships and expertise will remain at the heart of our offering as we deliver strategies committed to tackling clients’ evolving needs around climate, capital and systemic risk.” Aon reconfigured its executive committee last month following its terminated proposed business combination with Willis Towers Watson.
