Markel and Cytora partner over workflow platform

Insurance, tax and legal services provider Markel UK has partnered with Cytora to administer the latter’s platform to streamline risk intake across property and casualty lines. Markel will integrate the platform from Cytora, an insurance technology firm, into its new business workflow to increase capacity for growth in target risk segments in a more efficient end-to-end quote and deal process. The Cytora platform will also allow Markel to provide better service to brokers and clients, thereby improving capability and accelerating profitable growth. Markel provides speciality insurance and global reinsurance solutions, including workers’ compensation, energy, environmental and captive agents coverage. Neil Galjaard, divisional managing director, Markel UK, comments: “Cytora will enable us to create capacity to effectively grow our scale in our key sectors and enable our underwriters to provide further enhanced service to customers and brokers.” Richard Hartley, CEO, Cytora, adds: “The commercial insurance industry is undergoing a fundamental transformation. We are excited to partner with Markel, building on the success of our relationship so far, and accelerate their transition to become a digitally enabled insurance company.”
