Warren Mula has been appointed as a non-executive director of McGill Global Risk Solutions and strategic advisor to McGill and Partners. In his new role, Mula will support the company’s growth with a focus on the specialist broker’s US plans. Mula joins after serving at Aon for 40 years. Most recently, Mula worked as president of Aon Risk Solutions, where he was responsible for all of Aon’s Global Specialty business strategies as well as global carrier relations. This position was held alongside his ongoing responsibilities as the global CEO of Aon Broking. Warren’s previous experience also included a variety of senior management and leadership positions, including chairman of Aon Risk Services Companies, managing principal of the US Northeast region, national US head of the strategic account management group and managing director of the Baltimore/Washington DC offices. Steve McGill, founder & CEO of McGill and Partners comments: “I am personally delighted to welcome Warren to the team. His extraordinary connections with the client and carrier community globally and his broad leadership capabilities align perfectly with the firm and our ambitions.” Last month, Ken Lorber joined McGill and Partners as partner specialising in portfolio solutions in the US. Based in San Francisco, Lorber plays a lead role in building out the business in the US, structuring bespoke insurance and reinsurance solutions for McGill and Partners’ clients.
