Crawford & Company launches new Japan desk in Thailand

Crawford & Company has launched a Japan desk in Bangkok, Thailand, providing a dedicated facility to support the growing presence of Japanese companies and their affiliates in the South East Asia region. The new Japan desk will be led by Tetsuya Fujita, director of Crawford's Japanese business unit. It will ensure access to the full range of Crawford’s claims management services to its partners and their clients for large and complex risks, including property, business interruption, construction, liability and cyber. The Japan desk also combines the claims capabilities of the company’s operations in Japan and Thailand, represented by Mamoru Tanouchi, managing director, Crawford Japan and Patipan Soodarram, managing director, Crawford Thailand. Commenting on the launch, Veronica Grigg, president, Asia, says: “At Crawford, we are constantly striving to find new ways to bring ourselves closer to our clients to ensure we deliver an exceptional level of service and deliver on our purpose to restore and enhance lives, businesses and communities.” She adds: “With the establishment of our Japan desk, we are providing that local presence while providing access to our global capabilities to support the efficient and seamless management of every claim.” Tanouchi notes: “By setting up this new facility, we will be able to connect all the parties to the claim — the carrier, the broker and the insured — in a much more effective way to deliver a speedier claims resolution process. At Crawford, we are fully focused on ensuring that every client receives the same standard of service no matter where they are in the world.” In April, Crawford & Company appointed Rohit Verma as the new CEO and Joseph Blanco as the new president.
