The Hellenic Association for Risk Managers (H.A.RI.MA) has become a member of the Federation of European Risk Management Association (FERMA), bringing its membership to a total of 22 national risk management associations in 21 European countries.
H.A.RI.MA was first established in Greece in December 2019 as the initiative of a group of senior executives active in risk management. The association’s primary objective is the recognition, institutionalisation and promotion of risk management in Greece.
Commenting on the new member, Dirk Wegener, president of FERMA, said: “I am delighted to welcome Greece to FERMA. This demonstrates the development and professionalism of risk management in Europe, and shows the recognition of FERMA as the voice for the European risk manager.”
FERMA has recently called on the European Commission to create an EU resilience framework for catastrophic risks to address the lack of coverage available for financial losses resulting from non-physical damage business interruption.
