Artex Risk Solutions has named Stewart McLaughlin as business development director for Europe.
McLaughlin joins the Artex business development team in London having spent over 25 years as a captive practitioner in Guernsey.
Previously, he has represented many of his clients either as a director on the board or as an operational executive on others. His captive clients covered various industries, including financial services, transportation, aerospace and energy.
Most recently, McLaughlin worked as a risk consultant at Robus Group and prior to that an executive director at Aon Insurance Management.
McLaughlin also has experience in using captives to transact pension longevity transactions and managing collateralised reinsurance and insurance-linked securities transactions.
Throughout his career, McLaughlin provided feasibility studies and risk management reports to new and existing clients seeking to establish alternative risk-bearing vehicles.
